Case Study

Embark

Revolutionizing commercial transportation

The Project

Embark came to West Agile Labs to put a brand on their revolutionary self-driving truck start-up. Embark went on to raise a $15 Million Series A financing and is a leading innovator in the growing self-driving vehicle industry. They are currently on track to go public with a $5.2 Billion SPAC Deal.

My Role

As lead visual designer, I established the brand identity and design system. With the help of Annie Pyle, we created all necessary marketing materials to help Embark establish themselves in the competetive startup space.

In collaboration with
Fire Art Studio, we created branded illustrations to be leveraged as the official truck wrap, and other marketing materials.

Deliverables

• Branding: Guidelines, logo, illustrations, iconography, colors, typography etc.

• Comprehensive design system and style guide for development

• Full responsive, high-fidelity prototypes for desktop, tablet, and mobile web-apps

• Marketing Materials: Marketing website, business cards, letterhead, t-shrits, hat etc.

Brand Identity

Expanding off the original branded blue, we chose a bright monochrome palette paired with bold type and geometric illustrations to create an edgy and innovative look.

Marketing

The marketing site opens up to a video showcasing the self-driving truck, with the truck-wrap and logo front and center. Scrolling down, we really played up the monochrome color palette and geometric illustrations. The overall goal was to create a fun and memorable site that stood out amongst other startup competitors.
